1. Tell us about the work you currently do? 

I have been a part of the Advisory & Transaction team at CBRE Mumbai for the past 12 years, leading a consistent and proficient 4-member team that has successfully transacted more than 230 office leasing, purchase, and service agreements over 2.2 million sq.ft. across various office markets in Mumbai. I cohesively work with the research team to put together quarterly office market reports that our esteemed clients rely on, as it helps them understand the market's pulse and make informed decisions on their office space strategy.

2. What’s the best part of being associated with CoreNet Global India Chapter?

I personally believe that being associated with CoreNet Global allows me to expand my networking with fellow members. While networking, I get the chance to share knowledge and learnings from working at CoreNet Global that can help me improve my productivity. I also enjoy meeting the veterans and learning about their views, thoughts and opinions on the latest CRE subjects.

3. What excites you about working in the CRE professions? 

What excites me more about working in the CRE Profession is that I get to work for varied industries. This helps me understand how differently people and organizations look at human capital, cash flows, and other softer aspects of commercial buildings. The market is dynamic in nature, keeping you on your toes and preparing clients accordingly. Also, being in an organized sector brings about the learning of new tools, acquaintance with technology, adding science and math to every decision-making process, etc.

4. What's your favourite quote and why?

My favourite quote is - "We overestimate what we can achieve in 12 months and underestimate what we can achieve over 12 years."

When I look back to my younger self and all the times I have been super dejected on a lost opportunity, I now know that there is so much more to win and learn. It is just that one needs to be patient, consistent and out there to grab the opportunity when it comes next.
