1. Tell us about the work you currently do.
I presently serve as the GRE Lead for JP Morgan Chase & Co., in Hyderabad, overseeing management responsibilities for a vast, one million square feet of space. My career journey began as a Space Planner with Citibank, where I specialized in designing the bank's branches and ATMs. This role naturally evolved into Facilities Management with Wipro Limited, and my journey in this field continues. My background in projects has granted me a unique perspective, enabling me to create spaces that are not only cost-effective, but also easy to maintain.
2. What's the most valuable aspect of your involvement with the CoreNet Global India Chapter?
The CoreNet Global India Chapter has enriched my professional network significantly. The connections I have forged since my initial involvement have multiplied, and the wealth of white papers and articles authored by industry stalwarts has deepened my understanding of the latest trends in the field. Moreover, it has provided me with the invaluable access to global insights.
3. Who has had the most profound impact on your career and why?
My journey in Facilities Management was profoundly influenced by my manager at Wipro Limited. Despite my lack of prior knowledge in the field, he recognized my potential and emphasized the importance of understanding and fulfilling customer needs, a principle I hold dear today. Subsequently, during my tenure at TATA, my skip-level manager transformed me from a mere doer into a thinker and strategist. To him, I owe my current position as a CRE-Professional in a leadership role.
4. What do you enjoy doing outside of work, and what keeps you motivated?
Beyond my professional life, I am a trained classical dancer and continue to perform whenever the opportunity arises. When I'm not dancing, I channel my creativity through painting and pencil sketching. My perpetual motivators are my two children and my partner, who inspire and drive me to strive for success consistently.
