1. Tell us about your career?
I lead Unispace’s business for India, a global strategy, design and construction leader. During my two decades in the industry, I’ve had the privilege of assisting some of the world’s largest brands, as well as India’s home-grown business leaders, and helped them in building high-performance teams.
2. What’s the best part of being associated with the CoreNet Global India Chapter?
I have enjoyed being in this esteemed association for several years. While you can access benefits like expanding your knowledge, and connecting with the right people in the industry, the best part is that CoreNet brings together the entire spectrum of the real estate industry and enables knowledge sharing across functions.
3. What’s your message to the next gen of CRE professionals?
The commercial real estate sector has recently undergone another transformation. This will bring the next phase of investment into people and innovation. CRE will parallel Fintech’s trajectory, thanks to artificial intelligence and machine learning. The importance of Data will grow even more so to facilitate accurate decision-making. New technologies will provide real-time access to more disparate forms of data, better-informing professionals in making important split-second decisions.
The future is for highly trained and skilled data scientists capable of interpreting reams of data and executing data-backed designs, deals, trades, or any other real estate solution.
4. Can you share interesting learning you have had in recent years?
I believe slowing down sometimes is a life philosophy. It shifts the focus away from speed and efficiency and onto the idea that we should do what’s most important to us and our growth and do it as best as we can instead of as fast as possible. In short, it’s a way of life that values mindful, intentional decision-making over rapid, intense, and aimless acceleration.
