1. Tell us about your career.

I started my career as a Project Architect in 2005 in Kolkata. After I realised the vast opportunities in the CRE industry, I started working on projects like IBM, Daksh, HP, KPMG, Lexmark, and more. In 2010, I joined an Australian company, UGL, with its Indian operation as Equis India, where my work revolved around understanding project management. With experience of working with clients such as Chrysler, Reliance Retail and more in Chennai, I joined Space Matrix (Bangalore) as Senior Project Manager and in 6 years, my career grew to become the Business Head - Bangalore at Space Matrix. The opportunity to showcase my work to many prestigious clients such as Infosys, PwC, Boeing, Coca-Cola, GE, Legato, CSG and many more, helped me grow. Later in 2019, I started my entrepreneurial journey when I joined hands with my partner Atish at Acorp Consultants, where our footprint of successful project execution is present in all major metro cities in India today.

2. What’s the best part of being associated with CoreNet Global India Chapter?

Every time I attend a CNG event, I gain some invaluable knowledge. Here, industry professionals offer their knowledge and experience through panel discussions and even one-on-one meetings. Additionally, the India chapter creates the foundation for global networking and cooperation by providing opportunities for several foreign industry executives to engage on a regular basis. That, in my opinion, is the best thing about being a member of the CoreNet Global India Chapter.

3. What’s your message to the next gen CRE professionals?

There are no clear laws or regulations in India for the highly unstructured CRE sector. In your second job or project, the procedures, methods, and skills you may have gained in your first one may be totally unhelpful. Don't let that confuse or mislead you, though. Every project has a single objective, and that is to be successful. Nothing else will matter for your success once you learn how to execute it effortlessly on project after project.

4. Can you share some interesting learning you had in recent years?

This knowledge is derived from my experience as an entrepreneur and is intended for anyone who has been thinking about beginning something of their own.
